Tags are extremely critical to building our blog community. They help to organize the posts from all blogs on the network by topic so that the posts are found easily by visitors. Not to mention they’re a search engine delicacy.
The New Auto Tagger feature (available in your Write Post screen) will help you to create tags for your posts. It uses Yahoo’s Term Extraction API to scan your Post Content and generate tags for you to use. It works in two ways:
- You can write your post as normal and simply Publish it. Auto-Tagger will assign the relevant Tags for you based on that post’s content.
- After Writing your post you can click the Suggest Tags button to have the tags for your posts generated without saving the post. This’ll allow you to edit and delete tags you don’t like.
If you don’t want Auto Tagger up in ya business, then simply uncheck the “Auto-tag post on save” option.
